I am so proud of our girls, AlEx, CaRoLyN, HaYdN, BeLlA, AmAnDa, ReYnA, AlYsSa, AsHeLy, AnIsSA, ErIkA, ShAyNe, KeLlIe, NiKkIe. You girls are not just National Champions, but role models. At Nationals we were so proud to hear from parents from other teams saying what great girls we have. On the field and off the fields. Not just that you girls play awsome but are great girls off the fields. That's what made you girls great and look up to. I know you girls will always keep the CIRCLE OF SISTER close to your heart. My daughter was a 12U all-star at East County ASA last year and this year. We moved over to East County two years ago after 5 years with a little league softball program. I wanted you to know how impressed I have been with your program these last two years. You should be proud of how your coaches, players and parents represent your organization. Your players and parents were so friendly and set the example for sportsmanship at District, State and Nationals. At Nationals, even after they had just lost their first game and were dropping into the losers bracket they were asking our girls how they did and wished them luck in the their next game.

Your 12U team (coaches, players and parents) truly are champions not only on the field but off. Thanks for setting an example that other leagues should follow.

What a great weekend to be a BV softball fan!! 12U Gold when most people probably thought you were out you showed everyone what a team with heart and determination can accomplish. Girls, the streak continues due to your expectations of yourselves and pure athletic skill. You are all tremendous softball players and each of you knows the game well. Something that I am sure has to do with the awesome coaching and family support that got you prepared to succeed. The leadership you will provide to other girls down the road is what makes our league very special and one that continues a very proud tradition at Nationals. 10U gold Congratulations as well on a very successful tournament. It looks as if it will only be time before you too bring home some Gold in the coming years. 14U Gold what a great run you had this season. Each of will always be No.1 in my book and it will be a joy to watch you as high school and beyond become part of your future.

To my girls 12U Silver...with 8 straight tournament wins resulting in 46 and 2 (but who's counting). You are all talented in your own way but together make ultimately the perfect team. To the Chuck Lara family.....we were so sad to hear that Chuck passed away. We will always remember Chuck with a smile on his face. Chuck was always a friend and clearly enjoyed coaching the girls. I know you are all deeply involved in your all star season and I wish you all good luck. I miss being down there. We lost my good friend Chuck Lara this weekend. He was a good man and a better friend. He was my partner for many years at Bonita Valley and at Bonita High. Remember the friendships that are created at Bonita Valley are what is important. Coach Lara will be greatly missed.

A BIG shout out to the 10 Gold girls! You girls ROCK!!! What a comeback in the Santee Tournament Championship game against Santee! You were down 4-0 in the 6th inning and came back with the lead! We went to ITB and had a sweet double play to stop Santee in their tracks! Then, a great bunt and our runner scores to end the game! WOW!!!
