12U Silver win Championship in Poway
The Silver 12U team scored a huge come-from-behind victory at the Summer Heat Classic.
As visitors in the championship game they were down five runs (8-3) going into the final inning. They scored the necessary five runs to tie the game, then held the heart of the Poway batting order scoreless to take the game to into ITB. In the tie-breaker they scored four more runs, then held on to win 12-9.
The game was a nail-biter for the coaches and parents, and a test of mettle for a scrappy team.
